Hi Nickel! I just found you here today. I wonder who has your portrait. I've never seen it, but I am grateful you have been remembered, and God Bless Michael Reagan for his great and generous work to ease the hearts of our Gold Star families. We miss you every day - our home still echoes your presence even now. Love, GrannyBird and Papa xoxo

We miss you a lot bro! I wish it wouldn't have went down the way it did. I remember when we used to always joke around at work, and how the NCO's didnt like it! LOL! You will never be forgotten homie! You always showed me the most upright respect compared to the others when i was a new guy! We are men before we are soldiers! I just wish i could rewind time so we can talk about our "Muscle cars" haha! R.I.P brother you will ALWAYS be remembered! ALWAYS!

What can I say about Penich besides he was not only a friend, But a brother. I first met the big guy in Ft. Benning while we both attended the RIP program. Afterward we both were sent to FT Hood, and into the same battalion-BLUE SPADERS. Being the armorer of A Co we'd see each other daily. John or "penguin" as I called him would literally waddle down the hall when we'd see each other and quack like a duck. No matter the circumstances he could always put a smile on anyone's face. You are truly loved and missed penguin! I'll see yah again someday brother. Much love my friend, RIP

I was at the George W Bush Library and Museum today and saw Marcus' memorial band displayed in the grand hall of the museum. I moved to Texas recently from Murfreesboro, TN and remembered driving over the memorial bridge for Marcus all the time. It was really cool to see his band there displayed so honorably.

Hey dad its me just wanted to say I love you and miss you with all my heart. Its been 8 years now and I still cry. I still have the bear you gave me when I was 4. Your pictures hang proudly in every room in the house. Christian is 13 and he's 6 feet tall. John is 11 and he's still short and I'm 12 and short.

Hey this is Angie's friend Anthony I don't know you much but Angie talks about you and I'm also going to serve in the army and I will honor you while I'm there and remember who you are.

Good afternoon, Mrs. Mary Todd. I am Alamhir Gutierrez, a graduate of Tulane University and a good friend of your son David. I recently found out about your son's passing and wanted to wish my wishes to you, his children and your family. Your son has done so much to me in encouraging to compete in weightlifting and Strongman. Because of him, I accomplished more than I ever thought I could. You raised a fine young man. Because of him I won a competition which I never thought I ever could win, If it is okay with you I want to send the trophy your son helped me win and let you have it if that is okay with you.

My email is fcbalamhir@gmail.com and I hope to hear more about your son :)
