Just about everyone who knew Jon-Erik appreciated his smile. Whenever you talked to him you count on two things: an infectious smile and a conversation about music. One of his battle buddies noted that he was about the only one who could smile and make a positive out of the negative all around them. A high school classmate noted that Jon-Erik was laid back, and loved playing his guitar. In addition to smiles and guitar talent, Jon-Erik was an avid fisherman and an excellent ping pong player. Those who ever engaged him in a match knew that they’d been expertly challenged at ping pong.
