Bradley W Marshall

Army Sergeant Bradley Marshall was a paratrooper and a Forward Observer Field Artilleryman. He was a resident of Little Rock, Arkansas. On July 31, 2007 Sergeant Marshall died at the Forward Operating Base in Kalsu, Iraq. He died from wounds sustained from indirect fire. He was thirty-seven years old.

Sergeant Marshall was part of the 2d Battalion, 377th Parachute Field Artillery Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division based in Fort Richardson, Alaska. He died in Tunis, Iraq. Sergeant Marshall served in the Army from 1990 to 1994. In 2006 he re-enlisted and deployed to Iraq in October 2006. Sergeant Marshall’s forward observation duties were critical and required his expertise with map reading and compass reading.

Those who knew Bradley Marshall saw him as an athletic outdoorsman who loved to hunt, boat, fish, camp and hike. He was fun-loving and enjoyed reconstructing and building homes. He was a member of the Bingham Road Baptist Church and his faith provided an important strength to him.

Bradley is survived by his parents, Wayne and Fran Marshall; a sister, Kim Mayo and her husband, Terry; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family was presented with awards recognizing Sergeant Marshall. Awards included the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.
