Private First Class Brice Murrill Scott was remembered a few weeks after his death at a commemorative ceremony.
“PFC Scott has left behind his generous deposits of love, in us, ” said Captain Thomas J. Lesh, the Chaplain who spoke at the memorial service.
According to Chaplain Lesh, PFC Scott was a great soldier and an asset to his unit, and everyone he met or knew. PFC Scott was an extraordinarily positive human being. “It’s because of his attitude that PFC Scott was well respected as a hard worker, a quick learner, a professional fighter and a good friend,” said Captain Alfred E. Waters, 4-4 CAV Commanding Officer . “He always knew how to put any situation in perspective.”
CPT Waters described PFC Scott as the “glue” that held their unit together. PFC Scott was always aware of those around him and was protective of his fellow soldiers.
“That’s the type of Soldier he was,” added Staff Sergeant Christopher Foster, “determined.”
