From Facebook entries we learn:

I am so honored to have watched you grow up into such a brave man I’m sure you had many things in life undone, but what you did was the ultimate for all of us. I Love you Robby and I will be here to look out for your family! Tammy

I remember BBQing, you playing football in the yard with the boys. Talking about our future plans. You and Kelly were so happy. I lost a good friend, Kelly and the boys lost a great hubby and father, and the world lost a hero and a great man. I also remember the last night I saw you, in our lovely Walmart. I never seen you so stressed out, buying all your final things for boot camp. And Jay and I remember what you said to us…To take care of Kelly and the kids…and we always will…love you and miss you….may you rest in peace.. Melissa.

“A hero is someone who understands the responsibility that comes with his freedom.” Bob Dylan
