SPC Travis Michael Humbyrd was a very courageous leader and hard worker throughout his life. He was 21 years old when he died.

Born on February 12, 1988, Travis Humbyrd grew up in Vancouver, Washington. As many of his friends and family would say, Travis always lived his life to the fullest every day. This is why Travis decided to serve his country in the US Army. After enlistment, and training, etc., Travis ended up serving in Iraq. After being named SPC there, he came home on leave in 2009. During this time at home, Travis was out one night driving a 1989 Ford Bronco when he suddenly hit a tree and was pronounced dead at the scene.

At the young age of 21, Travis Michael Humbyrd died on December 26, 2009, and although he was so young, his way of life involved treating each day as if it would be his last. This ended up making his time on earth much more valuable to him and to those surrounding him. Going through life with a positive attitude will assure his memory in all of our hearts. After his January 2, 2010 memorial service, Travis was buried at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon. Travis is missed and remembered each day.
