HAMPTON, VA, USA U.S. Army CPL, COMPANY B, 2D BATTALION, 23RD INFANTRY, 4 BCT, FORT LEWIS, WASHINGTON BAGHDAD, IRAQ 05/17/2007

“I have a band of brothers with me, I’ll be fine” is what Corporal Aaron Daniel Gautier told a friend who asked if he was scared, when deploying to Iraq with the 2nd Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division of Ft. Lewis, WA.

Aaron was excited about starting a new family with his new wife, Lindsey. He was loved and did love his family, parents Tina and Dan, sisters Trisha and Alexis, and step father Donald.

He was from Hampton, Virginia and a member of the Army JROTC of Bethel High School.

Near Baghdad on May 17, 2007, Aaron was killed in an incident that involved an IED and small arms fire.

Aaron is remembered as a friendly, polite, and fun-loving young man. He is remembered and will be missed.
