Brian Matthew Romines was born Oct. 26, 1984 to Randy & Melinda Romines.


Brian was a graduate of Anna Junior High School and Vienna High School. He joined the Illinois Army National Guard on his 18th birthday, began Basic Training in July 2003 after completing high school and graduated from Basic in November 2003. He was deployed in November of 2004, went to Kuwait in January of 2005 after training in Fort Dix, NJ and then on to Baghdad in February. He was a member of the VFW in Herrin, Ill.


Brian was a fun-loving young man who deeply loved his family and friends. As a young child his hair was so blonde it gave the appearance of glowing in the dark. His favorite things were 4-wheelers and girls. He always wore a smile which he frequently used to get him out of mischief. He was loved by all that knew him and his memory will be forever cherished.


Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Melinda and Randy Astin; father and stepmother, Randy and Rhonda Romines; a brother, Randall Romines; a sister, Tera Romines; maternal grandparents, Jim and Sue Clary; paternal grandparents, Clifford and Phyllis Romines; and a stepsister, Kristy Goolsby.
