Curtis J Forshey

HOLLIDAYSBURG, PA, USA U.S. Army SGT, 494TH TRANSPORTATION COMPANY, FORT CAMPBELL, KY HOMBURG 03/27/2007

Curtis John Forshey, of Holiday, Pennsylvania, was someone who you would want your own kids to be like. He was a good kid, with a good head on his shoulders. A 2003 high school graduate, Curt enjoyed four-wheeling, skiing, the outdoors and especially working on his Pathfinder. He worked at Blue Knob Four Seasons Resort as a ski instructor.

Curt planned to make a career out of the Army and was pursuing becoming a helicopter pilot. After his service, he wanted to combine his passion for skiing and his training as a pilot to work ferrying skiers to remote slopes.

Sergeant Curtis J. Forshey, 22, died March 27, 2007, in Homberg, Germany from a brain aneurysm, a complication of his treatment for leukemia. He was assigned to the Army Active duty 129th Combat Sustainment Support, at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He was on his second tour.
