Entries in Sergeant Sherer’s Legacy guest book describe an extraordinary human being who was a courageous soldier, dedicated family member and devoted friend. These are words from people who knew Sergeant Sherer and honor him.
I only heard of the news recently about Jeff, and my heartfelt condolences goes out to his family. I want you to know what a difference Jeff made in my son’s life during the short period of time he was my son’s Big Brother. My son was so excited and proud to have Jeff as his brother. He just glowed. He thought it was so cool to have a Big Brother from the Army, who also had an awesome truck, and he really looked up to him. He just turned 8. He misses Jeff a lot. My son made sure I let (SGT Sherer) know that he misses him and loves him. He still asks about Jeff , but I don’t have the heart to tell him the news. I am always grateful for the time they had together. Thank You Jeff.
There wasn’t ever a time that Jeff wasn’t smiling, or trying to cheer someone up. He was always there to help a friend in need, or just to give you a laugh. We have so many great memories of Jeff, and I will always remember him! from Tiffany.
Jeff was such a kind and gentle soul. I know he is watching over us now. From Gabby
Jeff was the type of man who would give you the shirt off his back, his last dollar, or anything you wanted. He was such a dedicated friend, soldier and husband. From Jesse
Jeff loved what he did. He told me this is what he was meant to do. He loved the Army. If you ever were blessed to have met our Jeff, you(‘d) never forget him as he left a mark on every one’s heart he met. Jeff loved his Family and friends. He had a Heart Of Gold and the courage of no other human I’ve ever met. From Carol
Out of all the guys I met in the Army, Jeff was the most determined to succeed and fight for our country. Many thanks to him for all he did… from Katie
