Joseph A Ford

Joseph Andrew Ford was born on March 11, 1985 in Merrillville, Indiana. He lived in Knox Indiana.

A bright, inquisitive, and determined young man, he was quick with his hands and was on the fencing team. He gave his talent in fencing skills to the school’s production of The Three Musketeers, helping choreograph the sword fighting scenes.

After graduating in June 2003, he joined the Indiana National Guard in August 2003, after losing 70 pounds in three months to qualify. In addition to his military service, he was a student at the University of Southern Indiana, where he majored in history and participated in ROTC for 3 years.

He married his wife, Karen, in 2007.

Along with his wife, Karen Christina Grimm Ford, Joseph is also survived by his parents, Samuel Harlan Ford and Dalarie Ford; brother, Matthew Ford; sister, Abbey Ambrose and husband, Brian; grandparents, Orvil and Loretta Slone and Sadie Ford; and his pet cats Ragamuffin and Aramina.
