MILITARY PERSONNEL IN THE INTERNATIONAL STABILIZATION FORCES IN THE REPUBLIC OF IRAQ


Junior Warrant Officer Karol Szlązak 28, was born in Opoczno, Poland 1976. He began his military service in 2000. In 2002 he graduated from the school of bearers and was directed to the 7th Air Squadron for the position of senior helicopter key technician.


In 2004, he served in the third shift of the PKW Iraq. He was killed when the Sokol helicopter he was in crashed while attempting an emergency landing following possible engine failure in Iraq on December 15, 2004.


He was posthumously appointed an Ensign and entered in the Book of Honor of the Minister of National Defense.


Karol Szlązak left his wife and daughter.
