Poland Polish Army Corporal, 25th Air Cavalary Brigade 2/7/2007, Diwaniyah, Iraq


Corporal Piotr NITA started his military service in May 2005 in the 3rd Air Cavalry Squadron of the 7th Lublin Uplan Division of the 25th Air Cavalry Brigade as a paramedic and medical rescuer. In Iraq he was a paramedic in the Maneuver Group cavalry squadron. He participated in numerous combat actions. In one of them, February 7, 2007, during a Tampa traffic convoy near Summar, about 20 km from Ad-Diwaniya, he died as a result of a blast explosion. He was a bachelor. Posthumously he was promoted to the rank of Corporal. He was buried in the parish cemetery in Lgota Wielka near Radom.
