Tyler R Seideman

LINCOLN, AR, USA U.S. Army SPC, HHC, 2D BATTALION, 35TH INFANTRY, 3 BCT, SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, HI MULTAKA, IRAQ 08/22/2007

Army Specialist Tyler R. Seideman, 20, of Lincoln, Ark.; assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; died Aug. 22, 2007, in Multaka, Iraq, of injuries sustained when the helicopter he and fourteen others were in crashed.

Tyler graduated from Lincoln High School in 2004 and attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville before enlisting in the Army. He had been in Iraq for about a year.

He was a fun-loving, caring person. He enjoyed camping, hiking, canoeing, swimming and jumping off bluffs. “He was always joking around, always showing his biceps and teasing everybody.”

Tyler was known as a generous person who would “give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He wanted to serve, and he died serving. He was the energy of the group. He lived the motto of his high school football team: Respect is earned, not given.

He wanted to build a log cabin with his best friend but now his loved ones hope “God has something better for him.”

“He was a gentleman and a great role model.” Someone who will be missed but rest assured that he will be making a positive impact, with a great big smile, in whatever he is doing now.
