A former teacher stated “there was never a sweeter, kinder, more gentle, or more wonderful boy than the Richy I knew with the sparkling eyes. The two things I remember most are how he used to tell me how much he hated math, but how hard he persevered and worked at it without quitting. I also loved the way he played sports with amazing ease and style. It was like he was born knowing how to be an athlete intuitively. He was amazing and unforgettable to watch.”

He was loved and will be missed by many, many people whose lives he touched. He is survived by his father, Richard O. Quill Jr. and stepmother Mary.
